The hybrid of acoustic and electronic, traditional and avant-garde, new and old, local and global, is an exciting and novel sonic encounter. In this convergence, the music emerges as something beyond the anticipated, safe, and predictable, resulting in a work infused with emotional unpredictabilities. The connotations draw from the artists’ internalized Japanese/Finnish traditions of sound and incorporate Dadaist and non-linear elements found in Koan texts.
